I recently purchased an antique rifle probably made in the
last quarter of the 19th
century. It appears to be hand made and stamped into the barrel
is "J.E. GAGE
SODUS, N.Y." I would be interested in learning any information
about this individual, whether he ever Patented his rifle
design, if any other rifles exist, and if family remains in
the Sodus area. Help would be appreciated.

I purchased an old clock
in an antique store in Grand Ledge, MI which says "Carr's
Jewelry", 811 Gallia. A google search led me to your page,
item 98-11 "History of Carr's Jewelry," but I can't
confirm whether I'm looking at the same store. I'm curious to
know if my clock came from your area or if I should keep looking.

I am looking for information
about James and Mary E. Parshall(my great-grandfather) I am
told he and his family lived in Rose,Wayne, N.Y. in1850. His
parents were Reuben T. and Susan Parshall and I did find them
on the 1850 census. By then James was married and should have
been on that census also. They all later came to Michigan and
settled in Jackson County. I would appreciate any help you can
provide.

| Am looking for information
about Moses P & Caroline Fowler CONNER. They are listed
in the 1870 Census for Wolcott, Wayne, NY. In the listing it
shows a son Fowler & daughter Helen.
I also found another listing showing a Benjamin & Ann
FOWLER. I believe that this is Caroline's parents. In the
a Wolcott Research page it shows Benjamin & Moses working
in a Steam Saw or Saw Mill.
I have not found Moses & Caroline after the 1870 Census.
Any help would be appreciated

was daughter of Levi Camburn believed to be Methodist minister.
