Wayne Behavioral Health's Continuing Day Treatment
program is licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health
to provide intensive outpatient services in Wayne County. These
services are utilized by people who, due to symptoms of mental illness,
are in need of one or more of the following:
- Intensive treatment in order to avoid a psychiatric hospital
admission
- Increased support to ease transition back to a former level
of functioning in their family, community or work
- More frequent contacts with mental health workers and services
during a difficult period
- Enriched services to manage ongoing serious mental illness
The program provides a full spectrum of mental health
services. Staff at the program are licensed or certified to represent
many disciplines including: psychiatry, psychology, nursing, social
work, counseling, and occupational and recreational therapies.
Specific services provided include:
- Assessment and treatment planning
- Discharge planning
- Medication therapy and education
- Health screening and referral
- Symptom management
- Supportive skills training
- Activity therapy
- Verbal therapy (group and individual)
- Crisis intervention services
- Case management

Monday - Friday 8:30am-3:00pm
